About me

In my mid-twenties, my mindset totally changed. On tour, performing with the National Theatre, I realised I was far more interested in the work happening offstage than on.

The show (War Horse) was immaculately designed, yet it was made to look simple. It was deeply collaborative, with universal appeal. It was (and still is) widely considered the most successful National Theatre production of all time, and I was hooked.

My philosophy as a producer, shaped by that experience? Value. Invest in high production value (even if you have to beg and borrow), value every single voice in the room, and give audiences incredible value for money.

Shock Horror (my longest running project) had that approach. It's been to 3 countries, visited over 50 venues, delivered hundreds of workshops and engaged thousands of young people. It propelled my theatre company into mid-scale, and has opened up conversations with some of this country's most reputable producing houses.

That show's resting for now, but I'm not. I want to help more companies grow alongside my own. I'm currently producing 3 theatre projects, but I’ll always find time for more.
